Ugo Geri-Robert is an Executive Director in Kantar Nigeria. Prior to joining Millward Brown Nigeria, she was Deputy Managing Director at Mapp Research and Executive Director at Research International Market Trends. She lectured briefly in the department of business administration University of Lagos before her journey into the world of marketing research and consultancy
Ugo is an accomplished Marketing and Management Consultant with a difference; known for her passion to help companies develop both their brands and marketing communications, she makes this come to life in a simple yet effective style. Her high energy, passion & love for people stand her out.
Mrs. Geri-Robert has over 20 years’ experience in coordinating and managing all aspects of marketing research with expertise in qualitative research, along with a healthy dose of quantitative research competence.
She was responsible for managing all of Millward Brown activities in Nigeria & Firefly’s research (The qualitative arm of Millward Brown) in West Africa & has played key roles in the birth of several brands and products in the Nigerian market place; where she is also demanded by clients that need strategic advice on how to best provide continuous value.
Ugo is the winner of the 2015 Consumer Crazy award by Unilever. This award is bestowed on the person who the company, believe is consistently crazy about the consumer; and putting the consumer in the front of all business decisions. According to Unilever there were many agencies/persons that contended for this coveted prize but Ugo Geri-Robert came tops. Her leadership in this space is well recognised. She is also the recipient of the 2014 Best Female Market Research CEO award by Nigeria Brand Awards. She was also nominated for the 2016 Authenticity Award by Unilever in Africa. In 2019 she was appointed a GIZ (The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit) advisor and mentor for ladies in different Mentorship Programmes.
She attended Queens College Lagos for her secondary education and the University of Lagos for her tertiary studies. She holds an M.Sc (Marketing) and has attended several international management development courses across Africa, Asia and Europe.
Mrs. Geri-Robert is an occasional contributor to marketing research journals and magazines locally and internationally. She is a fellow of the National Institute of Marketing in Nigeria (fnimn) , The Brand Management Institute of Nigeria (fibmn) &Institute of Management Consultants of Nigeria (fimcn) Full member of the Nigerian Institute of Management (mnimc) and the Nigerian Market Research Association (mmra). She is also an advisor to the African Brand Congress.
A resource person within the Kantar system and was former co-chair of the Nigerian Market Research Associations’ committee on Education, Training and Capacity Building. A soulful personality, Ugo enjoys both singing and listening to Gospel music Ugo Geri-Robert is a deaconess at the Christ Embassy Ministry in Lagos, Nigeria.
